- Define the persona: Write your character's name, personality, backstory, and voice. Soulit guides you with prompts; you don't need to know how AI works.
- Add visuals: Generate a portrait that matches your character's look. Refine until it feels right.
- Chat or publish: Test the character privately, or publish them so other users can chat too.
What kinds of characters work well
Original characters with a clear voice rank well — a specific personality, a coherent backstory, a distinct way of talking. Generic "friendly helper" characters tend to feel flat. Specific is better than safe.

- Do I need any technical skills?
- No. The character creator is a guided form. You write descriptions in plain language and Soulit handles the AI configuration.
- Who owns the characters I create?
- You do. You can keep them private, share them with friends via a link, or publish them publicly. You can delete them at any time.
- Can I make characters based on real people or copyrighted characters?
- No. Characters must be original. Soulit doesn't allow likenesses of real public figures or characters from copyrighted works. This protects you and the platform from IP issues.
- What can I monetize?
- Currently, character creation is free and there's no creator monetization program. Creator economy features are on the roadmap.
