Your AI Study Buddy
Someone to study with, who actually shows up.

The hardest part of studying alone is staying. The textbook gets boring, your phone is right there, and there's nobody noticing whether you actually finished the chapter. Soulit's study buddies are companions for the slog: they quiz you, explain concepts plainly, and check in when you've been quiet for ten minutes. Not a tutor, not a flash-card app — a study partner who shows up.
What a study buddy does
You pick a topic — calculus, organic chemistry, the French Revolution, whatever you're working on. The buddy asks questions, explains things back when you get stuck, quizzes you, and keeps the session moving. Bring your own materials (textbook, lecture notes, problem sets) and the buddy walks them through with you.
When it works best
Long study blocks where you'd otherwise burn out. Topics where you're stuck on a specific concept and need it explained from a different angle. Right before an exam, when you need to test recall. Habit-building — a 25-minute morning session every day adds up faster than people expect.
Not a tutor
The buddy is not a credentialed expert in your subject. It can be wrong, especially in math and code; double-check anything that matters. For graded work, it's a study aid, not a substitute for your teacher or office hours. Free to start.
Frequently asked questions
- Can it help with my specific class?
- Yes — paste the syllabus, lecture notes, or chapter you're studying and the buddy will work from those. Specifics help.
- Will it just give me the answer?
- If you ask. But the default mode is to walk you through reasoning so you actually learn the material. You can ask the buddy to be more or less hand-holding.
- Is it accurate?
- Mostly, but verify anything important — especially math, code, and current events. The buddy is good at explanation and quizzing, less reliable as a source of truth.
- Can it help me focus, not just study?
- Yes — set a timer, tell the buddy you're starting a 25-minute focus block, and ask it to check on you when the timer ends. Many users use it as a body-doubling companion.
